Dedicated home theatre in a private villa

Problem: The owner wanted a real cinema room in a house where people sleep on the floor above. Bass was the risk, not volume.
Baseline: 340 sq ft room, ordinary blockwork, hard floor, no isolation from the structure.
What we did: Floating floor on spring mounts, decoupled walls and ceiling, a full 7.1.4 Atmos layout, room treatment and bass trapping, fabric-finished panels.

AHU plant room in a Grade A office tower

HITEC City, Hyderabad

Problem: Three air handling units were making the floor below unusable for meetings.
Baseline: 82 dB(A) measured in the plant room, 800 sq ft, three 45-tonne units.
What we did: Spring isolators under the units, a full six-surface acoustic enclosure in board and stone wool, acoustic access doors, sealed penetrations and duct treatment.

Basement DG room, residential complex

Problem: Two generators in a basement under apartments. Residents were complaining every time the power went.
Baseline: 104 dB(A) untreated in the DG room, two 500 kVA sets.
What we did: Spring mounts and anti-vibration pads, mass loaded vinyl inner barrier, composite wall system, exhaust and intake silencers, acoustic louvres and sealed access doors.

Problem: Guests could hear the next room. On a renovation, the walls could not be rebuilt from scratch and rooms had to keep earning.
Baseline: Existing party walls tested at STC 36.
What we did: Double-leaf board system with stone wool infill across every inter-room partition, detailed at head, base and services penetrations — the places the number is normally lost.

How we work

Measure. Design. Build. Verify.

Most noise complaints are not a materials problem. They are a “nobody measured it” problem.

Measure

We visit the site and record what is actually happening — dB levels, the frequencies carrying the noise, and where it is getting through. You cannot design against a guess.

Design

Targets first: the STC, IIC, NC or RT60 the room has to reach. Then the build-up that gets there, drawn and specified, with the cost itemised line by line.

Build

Installed by people who know why the sealant matters as much as the board. One missed penetration can cost you ten decibels of a thirty-decibel design.

Verify

We measure again after handover and give you the report. If it did not hit the target, that is our problem to fix, not yours to discover later.
